About Saab Racing Alaska
We’re you’re Saab community for all aspects of car ownership.
Our Story
Saab Racing Alaska is a fairly new group to the Alaskan car scene. With the Saab community in Alaska being so spread out and varied, I wanted to create a space for us all to organize and have fun enjoying our favorite land-jets.
Most of the group activites are meets, cruises, car shows, and possibly track days. All events and meets will be posted publicly on Facebook Events, and posted on my Instagram. I will also be posting updates on the events page here for those that do not have social media.
Saab Racing Alaska is more than just a racing club for a niche brand of cars. SRA is a community focused club with the goal of keeping Saab alive and well. Alaska surprisingly has a large population of Saab enthusiests, though many are elusive for a variety of reasons. I made this club to provide a space for owners and enthusiests to talk, chat, meet, and connect with other locals in the Saab community.
I try to hold meet-up events every month which include a lunch and a cruise at the very minimum. All the events are posted on Facebook and the Events Page here. I try to book events out 1 month in advance to let others have a chance to plan.
Our racing scene is still under development of course. Showing others in the car scene that these cars have what it takes to compete against others at track days.
What makes this community truly notable among the car scene is the love and support other Saab owners have for their cars and each other. Get to know other Saab-heads in Alaska and lets build a solid community across The Last Frontier.
