In the vastness of The Last Frontier, there exists a small group of Saab enthusiasts that pride themselves on the preservation AND modification of these timeless classics.
On Saturday, August 17th, Saab Racing Alaska hosted the first car meet for Saabists in Anchorage, Alaska. The turnout was fairly small with only 3 owners total attending, including myself.(Me, Ethan, and Nico) Despite the small showing, everyone at the meet had lots of fun and exchanged stories, tips, tricks and even offered to help work on each others vehicles should they need the help.
After the initial meetup, myself and another member Ethan, took a cruise to Eagle River, and had lunch at Jalapenos. Afterwards we decided to let Ethan lead us through some back roads inside of Eagle River for a lovely mountain cruise. With the lovely air and bright sun shining down on us, it really made for a memorable experience.
The next meet is scheduled for September, near the end of the month. I would like to hold more of these events as we get more people involved in the community.
Look forward to merch like clothing, hats, stickers, vinyl stickers, patches, and more. All fund go towards helping get Saabs off of marketplace and into the hands of welcoming new owners. More info in a later post.
